Two days now since I edged into the world of bloggerdom. Been out on a coffee shop crawl for the last three days, spoke to a variety of taxidrivers and tipped no-one, my new policy. Lots of good coffee bookshops in Aberden one wanting poeple to let them display their art, there are one or two pictures a bit cheaper than the most expensive books in the shop. Strange get a book for a fiver and you may be engrossed for a week or so, get a picture for £55 and it takes your eye and then, you might look at again once in a while, wear it like a jacket you never wore outside, a new partner moves in and demands you put all those terrible watercolours in the loft, just in case the gas meter reader see them. For years now there have been books with pictures-novel- I know I too was amazed you can read the words and look at the pictures for the same price as a second hand copy of a PD James novel but just because someone put £55 on the price tag on the one billionth picture of Donnotar castle, it assumes more depth and meaning and those arty things that don't exist but imply they do dominate the sheer meaness of a novel and a story. Waterstones coffee shop is a reasonably safe place to spill some of you coffee on the book your looking at, but always get another copy of it from the shelf if you shouldbuy it between ordering coffees. Coffee crawl was good couldn't have bothered to carry a book or picture home and bonus points on my Costa Card are almost in the millions. Home now and i have to make my own coffee and get no points. Tomorrow i will be tasting and reporting on haggis pies in the various bakers of Aberdeen, don't miss it.

this is my first blog

Hello all you wonderful poeple out I am looking forward to wring to as many of you as i can. I am a young writer and live in a beautiful part of the north east of scotland. I write poetry short stories, yet have done some acting and singing, and i am working of a fantasy book Thrice advent. Apart from write I look after my two cats I did walk dogs but have started concentrating on upcoming studies for a BA in Engish. I am quite a happy guy with a good sense of humour and as i seem good with words I don't want stop writing, especially as my first poetry book A SONG UPON THE FLAME has been published this year. Although I am single i keep in regular contact with my beautiful daughter Lara- named after the Julie Christie character in Dr Zhivago, she is a very brave girl and i hope to make her proud so she can say 'That's my da, that great writer', but i want to be happy in the world, despite what I do, and that she will know best when to follow her heart. I'm planning a trip into town today and hope I have a few tales worth telling when i come back
All the best
Adam
