...and then she kissed me by Adam Parry

...and then she kissed me

I have kissed her hair
sucked into her air
that fragranced from my stare.
Only joy when she lay on my gravity
pouring out the ache
in a waiting-room that has run out of time
and clocks stood as we waltzed
on timeless toes.
Sober in silence in this new penitance,
no silence though in my eager speed.
Then I saw brown eyes, orange amber hair
and like a surprise she kissed me goodbye.
